Festival da Jazz: José James
After a successful tribute to the great Bill Withers, one can expect José James to be significantly more personal in his third appearance at the Festival da Jazz.
On the first single of his newly released album, he addresses the murder of George Floyd in his hometown of Minneapolis. However, the entire album also pulsates with the vibes of Marvin Gaye, Prince, and Stevie Wonder. James skillfully explores the boundaries of Black Music beyond the borders of his homeland and collaborates successfully and highly inspired with artists from South America and Africa.
