Automobile

St. Moritz can claim over 80 years of automobile history. In 1925, with a 10th referendum, Graubunden became the last Swiss canton to allow cars on its roads. Before this, vehicles had to be drawn by horses and oxen from the canton boundary. In 1929, just four years later, St. Moritz organized the 1st International Motoring Week. Today, the Engadin holiday resort cultivates the tradition every year with top-class events such as the  British Classic Car Meeting.
