34th Engadine Summer Run 2013: Altitude Acclimatization and Team Experience
The Engadine Summer Run on Sunday 18th August 2013 provides a unique running experience in a breathtaking alpine setting - with a surrounding of deep blue lakes and proud glaciers. The high altitude of 1,800m above sea level provides particularly ambitious runners with the optimal challenge and the opportunity for marathon-specific preparation.
Participants in the Engadine Summer Run, in both the main 26 km run from Sils to Samedan, and in the 11 km Muragl Run from Pontresina to Samedan will be surrounded throughout the runs by the beautiful Engadine mountains. The Muragl Run, which now also has a Nordic walking category, will be held over a new course which features a visit to the Roseg Valley. Competing in both the "company" and the "team" categories will be possible in both runs. In the Kid's races of 1 to 3 km, children and teens can taste their first experience of competitive running. A festival area, children's activities and musical entertainment provide a perfect ending.
The registration portal of the Engadine Summer Run website is open. Plan early for an active weekend with your family and friends in the high altitude Engadine valley. More information and registration is available at www.engadiner-sommerlauf.ch.
