Classic British Cars in the St. Moritz Design Gallery

In 2013 the British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz celebrates its 20th Anniversary. A fitting occasion to invite all visitors to the Serletta Parking station to look back and share the best moments of British automotive art. From the beginning of June, approximately 30 photographs will be on display presenting memories of the first 19 meetings.

The new exhibition "20th BCCM St. Moritz" by photographer Patrick Blarer is presented from the beginning of June until the end of the summer season 2013.

The British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz is an elegant highlight for fans of British Classic Cars. This summer, its organizers can look back on a unique success story: in just two decades, the BCCM St. Moritz has developed into an internationally acclaimed automotive event.

During this 20th Anniversary meeting from the 11th until the 14th July 2013, approximately 200 Classic Cars featuring Jaguar & Daimler, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin & Lagonda and Austin-Healey & Healey will meet for driving events, and the "Concours d'Elégance". The anniversary event has been extended to three instead of the previous two days: on Friday the participants will compete in a consistency event; on Saturday the traditional rally will be on the program; and on Sunday, all vehicles will be displayed along the Via Serlas in the "Concours d'Elégance".

The British Classic Car Meeting fits to St. Moritz like a Jaguar to an elegant gentleman - Firstly, this city in the Engadine Alps has an automotive history of over 80 years.... as early as 1929 the 1st International Automobile Week was held in St. Moritz. Secondly, the BCCM St. Moritz brings together elegance and class in the stunning Engadine lake landscape. And thirdly, the British have contributed significantly to the rise of St. Moritz to its status as a world famous tourist destination firstly as the birthplace of winter tourism (1864), and then with the introduction of modern competitive winter sports in the Alps (Cresta Run, 1885).

The local photographer, Patrick Blarer, has over several years recorded the BCCM St. Moritz from a unique perspective. The result is a series of black & white photographs which take the viewer into the fascinating world of the art of the British automobile, a world presented in a perfect setting which combines the elegant St. Moritz, with the archaic beauty of the alps. The pictures inspire automobile enthusiasts to dream and to drive! Ladies and gentlemen: Start your engines!
