BCCM announces anniversary edition
St. Moritz will let the corks pop next summer. This coming summer St. Moritz will pop the corks. The 20th edition of the British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz will be held from 11 to 14 July 2013. The organization committee have come up with some exciting surprises. Mostly important: the BCCM 2013 will last for three days instead of the previous two days. A short preview.
Michael Schumacher wins his first Formula 1 World Championship. Carlos Sainz, Juha Kankkunen and Colin McRae duel in the World Rallye Championship. Hurley Haywood drives his team to victory at the 24 hours of Le Mans. Plus, the British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz is held for the first time. All of that was in 1994. Nearly 20 years later, the organizers look back on a unique success story: the BCCM has turned into an internationally acclaimed classic car event in only two decades.
Anniversary edition with additional regularity rallye
The 20th British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz 2013 will be held from 11 to 14 July and will last for three days instead of the previous two days, therefore, participants will already arrive on Thursday. Enjoy a traditional fish and chips dinner in various restaurants in St. Moritz. On Friday the 200 registered drivers will have to master the challenge of competing on a regularity section. The participants compete individually and in teams of 4. The object is to finish the surprise route twice within the same time. The exact route will be announced in early 2013.
Traditional rallye on Saturday, Concours d'Elégance on Sunday
As in previous years, the traditional rallye is being driven on Saturday. The "Anniversary mountain-pass rallye" offers spectators three different stages on the route: start and finish in St. Moritz, the stages lead over the passes Albula, Julier and Maloja. The rallye starts at the parking area of the Olympic jump St. Moritz where a large tent will serve as the event's meeting point. The popular Concours d'Elégance in the St. Moritz village centre will be the closing act of the anniversary edition on Sunday, where a jury will award the most beautiful classic cars that have been exhibited along the Via Serlas.

The St. Moritz Design Gallery is a cultural enhancement to the Serletta parking garage between the railway station, lake and Palace Hotel. The pedestrian passageway from Badrutt’s Palace Hotel to the lake has 35 large illuminated glass showcases, in which several exhibitions of particularly valuable posters are displayed every year. In 2013 the design gallery dedicates its summer exhibition to the 20th anniversary British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz. Fans of the automobile classics will see the scene being set for the event as early as June. Visitors of the Concours d'Elégance can look forward to this additional attraction.
