Lifts open for the Summer season
Mountain lift transport in the Upper Engadine has opened for the Summer season. And as part of the "Bergbahnen Inclusive" offer, guests of participating hotels will again travel to the mountain tops free of charge.
Since early June, guests have been riding the Signal Cable Car to the Corviglia, St. Moritz's home mountain. The Muottas Muragl funicular also started its operations for the Summer season at the beginning of June. The funicular St. Moritz Dorf – Chantarella – Corviglia (pictured above), the Celerina – Marguns Gondola, and the Suvretta – Randolins chairlift commence operations on the 21st June. Together with the Diavolezza cable car, which has not had a spring break, Engadin St. Moritz Mountains offers a wide choice of lift transport for Summer mountain experiences. Of special interest to guests: ticket prices remain at the same levels as last Summer.
Bergbahnen Inclusive, Hiking Pass for Holiday Apartment guests
The summer mountain experience in the Upper Engadine is free to hotel guests of participating hotels who stay two or more nights: the "Bergbahnen Inclusive" Offer is available in over 100 participating hotels and enables free transport on 13 mountain lifts when staying 2 or more nights. A number of the hotels also offer free transport on the Upper Engadine public transport system. Guests staying in holiday apartments can benefit from the Hiking Pass for holiday apartment guests. There are attractive package prices for stays of 2 - 6 days, for use of all lifts operating in the Upper Engadine and for public transport. Detailed information on the two offers is available at www.engadin-stmoritz.ch/inclusive.
Mountainbike Fun on Corviglia
Two highlights await mountain-bikers this year on St. Moritz's home mountain Corviglia: the Corviglia Flow Trail, and the new Foppettas Flow Trail above Champfèr. On these "downhill roller coasters", mountain bikers of all ages will find banked turns, a variety of pump tracks and camel humps, and pure riding fun! And once at the bottom of the run, most want to go back up for another descent, returning to the top somewhat more sedately using the funicular from St. Moritz Dorf or from Chantarella! The funiculars - just like the Signal Cable Car from St. Moritz Bad, and the gondola from Celerina to Marguns - transport mountain bikers to the starting point of their Corviglia biking adventure. A special offer for mountain bikers is the Corviglia Bike Pass, available as a day, or multi-day ticket.
