Resonances: International Culture Festival in Hotel Laudinella
As the Indian Simmer starts in the Engadine and presents its Kaleidescope of nature’s colours, the 11th "Resonances" International Culture Festival will be held from the 14th to 21st September in the Culture Hotel Laudinella in St. Moritz, thereby starting the Engadine’s Cultural Autumn. A preview of the highlights.
This inter-disciplinary Festival offers the Engadine a week of pure culture. The world-acclaimed mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova discusses her life as a singer with Marianne Zelger-Vogt, the actor and director Hans Hollmann reads letters from Mozart, and the author and film maker Yusuf Yesilöz holds true to a passion for music with the impressive scenes and stories in his film "The Love of Music".
A vibrant musical program consisting of five concerts will be provided by Kamilla Schatz and Emil Rovner. Amongst the performers will be the Bolzano String Academy, and the Kalandos Ensemble who will present the rousing sounds of Hungarian folk music.
Kurt Aeschbacher and Kaspar Zehnder will provide fascinating details and background on the composers and their works with knowledgeable introductions. During the day, cultural walks will be offered and will provide a perspective of the cultural history of the Engadine.
