Restaurant Chesa Chantarella reopens
The Restaurant Chesa Chantarella in the Salastrains area above St. Moritz has reopened after a long closure. The Menu features simple, but outstanding Swiss food.
The Chesa Chantarella is located at one of the most beautiful locations above St. Moritz. Its restaurant, known as "Che Cha", has been renovated and now gives just a hint of Ticinese charm. With its re-opening, a dream of many years been fulfilled for the Tessiner Christian Da Pont, and just like its name, the meals he serves are fresh and simple. Da Pont serves simple but outstanding Swiss Cuisine, so a veal sausage with onion sauce and home-made Rösti (hash browns) becomes a taste experience.
Engadine Watercolours meet Che Cha
During the 2013/14 Winter season, Ernesto Kellenberger will exhibit his water colour paintings in the Chesa Chantarella. The love of this part-time Engadiner for the Engadine is reflected in his paintings which feature the local architecture and the ambience of the high alpine valley and create a harmonious connection to the rustic yet modern restaurant. The titles of his works give a clue that the artist often hides a little surprise in the small details. Ernesto Kellenberger lives with his wife at the lake of Zürich and in the Engadine.
