The 21st BCCM St. Moritz starts on Friday
The 21st British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz will be held from Friday to Sunday this weekend. On Saturday the annual rally will be held in two stages - from St. Moritz over the Ofen Pass into the Münstertal, and through Scuol to Val S-charl in the lower Engadine. On Sunday, the public favourite is on the program, the Concours d’Elégance in St. Moritz Dorf.
This classic car meeting in St. Moritz is celebrating its 21st birthday this year. The event commences for participants on Friday 11th July with registration of the expected 160 vintage cars in front of the Hotel Laudinella in St. Moritz Bad. The registration procedure is also interesting for spectators as they are able to hear the sound of their engines as well as see the vehicles up close.
Traditional Rally on Saturday
The traditional rally will be held as in previous years, on the Saturday. The rally is in two stages, commencing in St. Moritz and leading over the Ofen Pass into the Münstertal, and through Scuol into Val S-charl. Highlights on the route are the Swiss National Park, the typical Engadine houses in Scuol, and the beautiful nature found in Val S-charl, entered through deep gorges lined with scree and steep cliff faces. The rally will start at 8.00am from Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz Dorf.
The Concours d’Elégance, the spectator's favourite, is on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, the popular Concours d’ Elégance in the centre of St. Moritz Dorf marks a glittering finale to the 21st BCCM St. Moritz. On the Via Serlas in front of the Badrutt's Palace Hotel, all participating vehicles will be presented from 10.30am until approximately 2.00pm. Visitors have the opportunity for close inspection of the vehicles and to be entered in the draw for a souvenir prize commemorating the BCCM. At 1.15pm, the jury will announce the best presented vehicles of these outstanding participants, which include some two dozen pre-war models.
