Oldtimer Events

We know it and love it: old-timers and classic cars represent a special, individual world of experiences. Form, style and craftsmanship are emotive reasons for the passion that surrounds classic vehicles. Good friends and colleagues, the culinary aspect, the puristic driving experience. All that’s missing is the fitting scenic setting. So it’s no wonder that here in the Engadin we meet so many enthusiasts with classic cars: the Engadin mountain world, so rich in tradition, completes the “automobile artwork experience”. 

Many annual events with classic vehicles are held in the Engadin. The following is a selection of regular attractions:

Three days through a snow-covered landscape including the Engadin and Dolomites. Scraping windscreens and mounting chains are just one aspect! Public evening event with snow slalom in Montebello near Pontresina. Traditional cheese fondue at the finish.

British Classic Car Meeting (BCCM) | www.bccm-stmoritz.ch
The rally of Swiss clubs for cars built by Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Austin Healey, Jaguar and Aston Martin as well as an Open Class from 1960. Concours d’Elegance on Sunday with folk festival.

Engiadina Classics
In July, the Engadin Airport, together with local clubs - St. Moritz Automobile Club and Auto-Moto-Classics Engiadina – puts on a special kind of event: the Engiadina Classics at Europe’s highest-altitude airfield, where historic automobiles and aeroplanes take centre stage. April to October: every second Thursday, friends of Volante Classic Car Engadin set out on a Dinner Cruise. They meet at 18 h at Volante in Samedan and cruise in their classic cars (not just oldtimers) into the evening sun, then enjoy a small cultural event and an informal light meal. Participation free, opportunity for fans without cars to share a ride, drinks and meals paid individually.

The basic idea of Passione Engadina is the organization of an Italian-historical-car-based event with the wonderful frame of St. Moritz and the Engadin as point of departure. Passione Engadina has an entire day dedicated to driving and to drive ability as a real "rally".

Kulm Classic Days | www.kulmclassicdays.ch
As part of the "Kulm Classic Days" a rally has been organized for friends of classic motor sports. Divided into different vehicle categories, the competitors are required to complete varied and exciting stages.
