On 1 January 2014 the St. Moritz Tourist Board – the oldest and most famous of its kind in Switzerland – handed over its operations and employees to the municipality of St. Moritz.
The municipality of St. Moritz subsequently founded the new tourism department "St. Moritz Tourism", which is divided into two sections: "Sports & Events" and "Infrastructure".
Since the establishment of the Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organisation, which assumed responsibility for all marketing activities in 2008, St. Moritz has concentrated its efforts on the maintenance of its brand and the coordination and representation of the region’s tourist attractions. St. Moritz Tourism works in close collaboration with the Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organisation.
The St. Moritz Sports & Events department is responsible for St. Moritz’s sports, events and cultural programme. The aim of this programme is to retain existing overnight visitors and attract new overnight visitors. St. Moritz Sports & Events also provides accreditation for athletes who want to undertake altitude training, manages St. Moritz’s digital communication and publishes various print materials.
The infrastructure department is responsible for running the new water sports centre OVAVERVA and St. Moritz’s other sporting facilities. This includes the St. Moritz-Celerina Olympic bob run, the Cresta Run, the Ludains ice skating rink and the altitude training centre.

THE COMPANY BEHIND THE ST. MORITZ BRAND
The St. Moritz Tourist Board
The St. Moritz Tourist Board is one of the oldest organisations of its kind in Switzerland and also owns the St. Moritz name and logo. Strategic maintenance and development of the brand is one of the Board’s primary tasks, although the operating side of the brand’s marketing activities has been handed over to the board’s partners.
To ensure the town’s interests are properly represented, the Tourist Board decided to set up the St. Moritz 360° think tank which holds regular workshops offering valuable input for the work carried out by the board and its partners. These workshops are attended by representatives of all ages and from all industries, who come together to discuss current issues and strategies.
