St. Moritz welcomes Ski World Championship guests with new train station

The major reconstruction of the St. Moritz station is now almost complete. The start and finish station of the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express will be presented as a new, modern, colonnaded temple in time for the World Ski Championships in February.

Glacier Express, Bernina Express - the UNESCO designated World Heritage line of the Rhaetian Railway, the Palm Express or the Venice-South Tirol-St. Moritz Tour. The guests of all these panorama rail journeys will be able to look forward in the future to a top class, modern St. Moritz railhead with a uniquely beautiful view of the St. Moritz lake and the Upper Engadine Alpine landscape. A trademark of the station is its numerous (125) columns, which give it an elegant, dynamic appearance. The renovation of the station has cost more than 60 million Swiss Francs.
